Early Childhood

Early Childhood Special Education
Early childhood special education (EC) and related services are mandated programs for children ages 3-5. These programs are intended to ensure that young children with disabilities are provided a free and appropriate public education in keeping with their individual needs. It is important to understand that our EC program is a special education program designed to provide services to children with an identified disability. Those interested in pursuing a referral for evaluation should contact the Director of Special Education, the elementary school building administrator, EC special education teacher or one of our speech/language therapists for further information. Subsequent to the referral and evaluation being completed, an IEP Team will determine eligibility and need for special education/related services (PI 11 Wisconsin Administrative Code).
